What is motherhood without a child? It’s only when you have a child- natural, adopted or fur, that you come face to face with the mother in you. It’s when you derive the strength to love, to the extent possible by a human heart. Am I right?
Mother’s Day is right around the corner and you will read a lot of beautiful blogs about being a mom. I have written some too in the past and you can read them all and share them too if you like your Mommy Friends. Just click here and get going.
But first, stay and read what this blog is all about. This Mother’s Day I decided to give me the Mom a gift, with the help of another Mom, the photographer, to capture my candid, happy moments with my daughter and my mom. A Mommy &
Can any gift be more precious than that?
So, to make my Mommy & Me photo session special and totally worth it, I needed a photographer who has to be amazing at what she does. So, I googled. And I found the Facebook Page of Megha Chopra Photography.
This is what I read, and I was sold.
“Photography for me is all about capturing true and real moments. Moments that matter, the tiny details that are always unnoticed, those expressions, that smile, and that laughter which lasts only a minute but is captured forever. My goal is to capture and preserve all your precious memories and to tell your family’s story in the most beautiful way. “
I stalked her. I saw the pictures from her various mommy & me, newborn, family photo shoots and I wrote to her, asking her to do this special photo shoot for me and my Mom.
The darling that she is, she agreed and here is a blog to share with you what we did.
This blog is my PHOTO BOOK, for you to see, and even borrow inspiration for your Mommy & Me photoshoots. My makeup for this photo shoot was done by Glossy Globe.

A little about Megha Chopra
She is a natural light photographer. In her words, “My favorite things to photograph are light and laughter. I have a passion for capturing real human connection. My style is vivid, bright, candid, clean and true-to-life.”
I asked her, “why do you love clicking Mother & Child? “
She said, and I quote, “Motherhood session fills my heart with joy. I always walk away with a massive smile on my face…motherhood is an overwhelming kind of love, it’s real, it’s messy and it’s crazy and sometimes a portrait like this picture you just posted says it all …”
Looking at work, I was amazed by her comfort level with my Mom and my child alike. She really waited through my daughter’s initial tantrum, her shyness only to lead her to be a fun, feisty child that she is, for the camera. Don’t believe me, look at this shot,
I asked her, “What makes you choose Photography? “
She said, “Photography is more than plastered smiles, it’s a partnership. I’ve learned over the years, the more the family lets their guard down and willing to be more present and transparent, the better the images are …”
