“Little Boys bring you just to the brink of insanity, before gently easing you off the edge with a sweet kiss and laughter from a perfectly timed fart”
Yes, if your mommy brain got some sleep last night, you would have guessed that my next #Yummymummy of the Yummy Mummy Series is a Mother of Boys. She is a proud Mom of two back to back dudes from her womb. Two little cuties just about 12 months apart.
Please raise your hands together as I introduce a very beautiful, angel eyes, kindred spirit of a mom, Haneen. She lives in Muscat, Oman with her family. She is a proud mom of Taimur & Razin. She has worked formerly as a Tax Consultant and now is a proud owner of Krafters, an event management company.
I have personally known Haneen to be a very wise woman, wise beyond her years, very positive, ever helpful and ever gorgeous- inside out. I love her smile and I am yet to see any other pair of eyes as mesmerizing as hers. Honestly! It’s really a puzzle to me how she manages her 2 cheeky boys, her home, her business venture, her social life and dreams so efficiently. She truly has some magical power and it’s evident in her vibes.
Sharing with you all her answers to my questions.
- Tell us a little about yourself & your mommy journey so far
I’m a proud mummy of 2 wonderful boys. I took a sabbatical from the corporate world to have my first son T, which eventually led to it becoming a permanent thing as I had my second son. After waiting another year to tend to my second son, I recently qualified and started my own venture, “KRAFTERS”, which is my 3rd baby. So yes, I am a full-time mom.
- What is the last compliment you received?
Hahaha. it’s from you that I’m a yummy mummy :)… Just recently got told that I’ve done well raising my two boys and starting my own business
- What per you are the “must buy” and “never buy” beauty products?
Must Buy: Bobbi Brown foundation and Lakme eye pencil those are my two staples. Don’t really have a must not buy I’m all about trying out new products. However, buying foundation shades that don’t suit your coloring bothers me…too light or too dark can really spoil the way you look.
- What’s your beauty regime? Any skin care tip/hack?
Never sleep with makeup on and drink loads of coconut water. Also, I’m quiet old school and use coconut oil to remove makeup
- What is your view about fitness? Are you happy with your post baby body? What is your fitness regime?
Very touchy topic in my life…It has been a struggle post first baby delivery to lose my pregnancy weight and getting pregnant right after my first one, didn’t help at all. Till now it is a struggle for me. I try but don’t have the best discipline and that makes it harder.
- If you had to live in only 2 outfits and 1 pair of shoes for 1 full year, what would you pick?
My American Eagle ripped jeans with white sneakers and my olive-green bomber jacket with a tee. Second outfit would be the same jeans and an Abaya kimono with Black Stilletoes (I’m a sucker for shoes)
- What’s your definition of a Yummy Mummy? Who is your Yummy Mummy crush?
Hey yummy mummies are the best…. you don’t have to be size 2 or 4 to be one. Going through child birth and walking around with your pride and joy wearing that smile makes you a yummy mummy right there. As for a yummy mummy crush Queen Rania of Jordan it will be! She is just so damn gorgeous.
- What is the biggest fashion faux pas? Do you have any embarrassing fashion faux pas story of your own?
Wearing clothes that are a size too small and ill fitted lingerie are a big No, no. Back in my teenage days I’ve had a few.
- What’s your advice to expecting & new moms?
Enjoy the journey it’s a beautiful life changing one. Embrace all that comes your way, you’re going to love it. Mummy bodies can be Hell-ova-Yummy too.
- Why do you like to groom yourself, stay sassy/fashionable/fit even with thousand and one chores, kids to distract you? What’s the motivation behind looking like a million bucks?
For my personal self, as well for my MAN. I want to look and feel good and make sure I don’t lose myself amid the chaos. Kids are vital but so is your husband, and I want to keep making that effort for the one who appreciates and admires me.
Here is a small breakdown of Haneen’s makeup, that she wore on a friend’s wedding reception
Isn’t she beautiful? I always believed mother of boys are the chosen ones. Not because they give birth to boys, but because they get to raise “men”, who will not be the custodian of patriarchy but will become perfect gentleman, with bigger hearts and compassion to eventually and hopefully make our future society a gender equal society.
I hope you are enjoying my “Yummy Mummy “series , as much as I am enjoying creating it. As a simple sassy and a bit yummy mother myself, it gives me immense joy to find and feature other yummy mummies between us, who are not a celebrity. They are not mothering to prove a point and they don’t stay stylish for the fan following. They resonate their inner light, their inner style, their inner beauty and resilience and it just shows in the multiple things they achieve even as they continue to be the Yummy Mummy next door.
Please do leave comments and likes if you enjoyed my interview with Haneen from Muscat, Oman.
