Why I crave a ” Silent Night” this Christmas.

Cultivate solitude and quiet and a few sincere friends, rather than mob merriment, noise and thousands of nodding acquaintances.

And now Christmas is almost over in my time zone and the countdown for new year begins

At a time when everyone is overdosing on everything Christmassy, excitement over 2018, I am starting to feel very very fatigued by this whole joy and Cheer part of Holiday Season.

Silent night this Christmas
Watching the world from my window

No, I am not depressed or suffer from lethargy in general, I am just not into anything fun at all at this point. I am tired. My cheeks hurt. My legs ache and my ears yearn for some white noise.

It’s maybe my introvert inside rebelling against my extrovert exterior or it may be feeling kind of like eating too much of that chocolate cake you love and then feeling bloated and uncomfortable after it. Too much of a good thing you know.

My body and mind are craving some quiet time. I want to sit alone, watching the world from my window. I want to quietly read a book. I don’t even want my little one around for like few hours ( there, I said it!)

I want zero festivity & a massive piece of peace.

Silent night this Christmas
I want silent night.

What are you feeling?

Does too much of a good thing make you too crave for your bat cave?

Do share. I am all ears.

Aww.. Hope you meet them soon

  2. This is so very true! I love smaller get togethers at Christmas rather than huge get togethers. Silent moments are the best.

Hi Meghana, I agree with you, that is why this time I tried to stay away from social media and kept to myself this xmas. No plans for the NYE yet so maybe it will be a quiet one too

      Ok

  4. There are times that I would rather go a my bat cave then be around Christmas stuff but this year I like to be around it.

Can relate to this! Happens to me during the festive or wedding season. There are times when I want a break and wish to relax!

I agree, sometimes you just need a break. I usually get that feeling in the middle of something that everyone usually feels hyped up, whether it’s at a party or event. Sometimes you just need to step away for a second. What a great reminder this holiday season.

I can too relate my situation to yours
I feel the same way as you are feeling …
    I loved you’re post ..
Its indeed possible by finishing all the work early and then taking a peacful break …

  8. No! BUT only because I’m on vacation during this holiday season AWAY from work and my sister is visiting. So I’m really enjoying this holiday season doing some serious sister bonding! But if not, I could totally relate!

  9. Wow, I can really relate to your feelings and appreciate you putting into words what so many of us feel around this time of the year. I love low key holidays for this reason.

  10. I think it’s so important to take some down time during the holidays! I always travel home and just the cross-country trip takes it out of me.

  11. I feel you. Sometimes we all need a moment of silence. I still wished you enjoyed your Christmas. All the best and more power!

  12. I can totally relate. Sometimes I just need a break from all the busyness of life and some quality quiet time.

  13. Really? I don’t know if it’s because I have never celebrated chrismats but I crave the noise and all the festivities and one day I will do all of it

    1. Love Life And The Little One

Oh! Then you will love it.

  17. Oh I can relate, I love a moment of silence. It doesn\’t happen very often though.

  18. YES! I\’m right there with you. The holidays can really take a lot out of you. Hopefully you can get some time to recuperate over the next couple of days. I know I\’m going to try—the operative word being try.

  19. I can relate! After an awesome but busy weekend, I\’m ready for quiet time and a nap

I can completely relate. This time of year is so crazy and we are usually constantly surrounded by people and things to do. Some solitude will be nice:)
